PUNJAB TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY ( Jalandhar, Punjab )
Punjab Technical University is a State Government University established in 1997 for the advancement of technical education. The University is imparting education through regular and distance mode. The University has under its affiliation 380 engineering & architect, management & hotel management and pharmacy colleges and more than 2000 learning centers under distance mode. The university has received e-India award for Best ICT enabled University and Best Open and distance learning university of the year in 2010.

Distance Education
Directarate of Distance Education was established in the year 2001 for promoting IT and Non- IT courses through distance mode . Presently, various courses are being offered in more than 2000 learing centres across the country. Regional Learining Facilition centres (RLFC) in private partnerships have been estalished to provide support services to the Learing centres.
